Kilchurn Castle
Kilchurn Castle was built in about 1450 and was the ancestral home of the Campbells of Glen Orchy. They later became the Earls of Breadalbane, also known as the Breadalbane family branch, of the Clan Campbell. It is now under the care of Historic Environments Scotland.
The ruins are reputedly haunted by a sobbing voice that cries out for help. Some claim that it is that of a child was was somehow locked away at the castle.

Grid reference - NN 133 276. The castle is accessed from the Dalmally roadside (A85) under the nearby railway viaduct. Access is via the loch-side, which floods periodically, so caution is advised. Please note there is no vehicular access or parking.
